Artist Spotlight: Buddha to Buddha

  buddha 2

Starfish is proud to present a new line this winter: Buddha to Buddha.  Based in Amsterdam, they are renowned for their bold, handmade .925 sterling silver bracelets.  According to their philosophy, “The brand is inspired by the Buddha to Buddha way of life; the philosophy of living consciously and enjoying, making the most of each day in an easy-going and natural manner, an Eastern, almost spiritual approach – but far from being floaty.”

Skyline, the glass bead of the collection designed by Lise Aagaard, is a striking cobalt blue bead with bronze glitter. The skyline over the Victoria Harbour is the most beautiful and famous scene in Hong Kong. Do not miss it when you visit Hong Kong as it brings you so much inspiration.

He Yang Hong designed the beads Dragon and Phoenix (far left) and Chinese Auspicious (far right). Chinese people consider the dragon and phoenix as the blissful relation between husband and wife. At ancient time, nearly all things connected with Emperor and Empress are with dragon and phoenix pattern. It also means power and premier which brings good luck.

” Yu ” “Yi” “Guck” “Cher”. The first two Chinese words mean your wish and the last two are lucky and peace. If you want to express the best blessing during Chinese New Year to someone, just say “Yu” “Yi” “Guck” “Cher”.

Thor Høy designed Mahjong “Fortune”. Mahjong is the most popular traditional game among Chinese society and you often see it at family and friends gatherings. It merely acts as a kind of joyful communication. Mahjong “Fortune” means getting rich.

If you don’t plan on visiting Hong Kong any time soon, check out the promo video made by Trollbeads Hong Kong distributor.
